MILE will launch networks that will aim at encouraging the emergence of communities of practice among practitioners in core competence areas, with a view to facilitating knowledge-generation, -sharing and -dissemination.
These networks will comprise competent and experienced professionals, intellectuals, practitioners, researchers, policymakers, thought leaders, among others.
The main objective of the networks will be to:
- Synthesise information and share skills, experiences, and good practices that could be of value to local government;
- Offer a platform for closing information and knowledge gaps;
- Enable access to peer experience and replicable good practices;
- Develop communities of practice for information- and knowledge-sharing;
- Provide support to mutual learning, knowledge exchanges and for the deepening of understanding of concepts, tools and techniques.
